What if your boyfriend was the world's biggest rockstar?
Sterling is crazy in love with Ethan. Not only is he the sweetest boy she's ever met, but he's an incredibly talented guitarist, singer, and songwriter. And since forever, he's believed he has what it takes to be a star.
When Ethan becomes an overnight sensation, he's thrown head-first into the glam world of celebrity-and so is Sterling. Before she knows it, she's attending red-carpet premieres, getting free designer clothes, and flying around the country to attend Ethan's monumental sold-out concerts.
It's a dream come true...but whose dream is Sterling living? And what do you do when "forever" comes to an end?
There hasn’t been a Susane Colasanti book that I haven’t enjoyed and the same goes for her newest, Now and Forever. Of course, I don’t want to spoil anything, however, the blurb itself describes the book perfectly. Now and Forever is a cute, fun, and super quick read. Susane’s books always take you back to the excitement of first love.
While the relationship situation between Sterling and Ethan, an up and coming rockstar, can be described as every young girls fantasy, things change at a steady pace and you’re able to see Sterling grow and mature in the best way possible. Her growth and ability to stand on her own is one of my favorite qualities of this book. In a way, the relationship is something many can relate to. Well, maybe not the dating a rockstar thing, but the falling in love for the first time and discovering yourself throughout the process.
When I first started reading this, I was on the high of first love just like Sterling. I thought I had it all figured out, just how the book was going to go. I was loving the fairytale and enjoying the butterflies I typically feel when a book makes it possible for you to step away from reality and enjoy a happily ever after. Of course, there were some trials that Sterling had to overcome and figure out for herself. I loved the soft reality check Colasanti had in the books for both Sterling and the reader. Sure, the story was what one could describe as a fairytale romance, but it was entirely honest and pure in a way. It goes to show that no matter how perfect things may seem on the outside, on the inside there may be some bumps along the way that whomever experiencing them may need to think about and make the changes that are right for them.
Sterling truly is a girl that readers will enjoy and admire for her willingness to make the right decisions. Without giving too much away, I encourage you to take a chance with Now and Forever and enjoy another one of Colasanti’s quirky, romantics reads.
