Top Ten Tuesday | Ten Books About Friendship

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme put together by the fabulous
ladies of The Broke and the Bookish.

Today’s topic, Books about Friendship, was somewhat of a struggle for us. Either we haven’t read a lot of books with strong friendships, not just romances, or we seriously forgot a ton of titles.

Below are our top ten picks that are either all about friendship or contain strong friendships within the story.
Does that even make sense?

1. Keeping the Moon by Sarah Dessen
2. The Last Summer (of You and Me) by Ann Brashares
3. The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants by Ann Brashares

4. Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare
5. Maybe One Day by Melissa Kantor
6. Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead

7. Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell
8. Better off Friends by Elizabeth Eulberg

9. Waiting for You by Susane Colasanti
10. Someone Like You by Sarah Dessen

So these are our top ten books about friendship. YA books surrounding friendships seem to be few and far between. What books do you recommend that we add to our TBR list?

I was going to put a Sarah Dessen book on my list, but couldn’t decide which one… so I didn’t LOL. I really need to read E&P. It’s really dumb that I haven’t yet. I mean I loved Fangirl and I’m a girl of the 80’s. How could I not like it??

PS- BEA is in like 1 week!!!!! I can’t wait to meet you guys! We’re going to have SO much fun 🙂

It is very hard to choose a Sarah Dessen book, they are all so good! It feels weird knowing she doesn’t have a book coming out this summer, but I just know her next read is going to be as good as all the rest.
You do need to read E&P! I too love the 80s and this was a fantastic representation.

Can’t wait to meet you!! Christie and I are so excited! It’s going to be a blast! Now…onto what to pack..

This is a great list! It was hard not to just put every Sarah Dessen book on my list – that is one reason I love her books so much. All of the relationships are fantastic.

Maybe One Day had such a great friendship in it, easily the best part of the book.

It really is! I wanted to put all of them, but of course I couldn’t. Sarah Dessen books will always be some of my favorites!
