About Us

Heather and Christie

Hi everyone and welcome to our blog! We are cousins (Christie is technically my husbands cousin, but I claim her as if she were my own flesh and blood!) and best friends who live states apart but through our love for books, it’s as if we live next door to one another. I (Heather) originally started this blog solo, but after a few months, I was more than happy to welcome Christie to join me in talking books. We first met several years ago when I went to visit my husbands’ family in Alabama. Christie and I discovered we both shared a love for books and after giving me her copies of City of Bones, City of Ashes, and City of Glass, our friendship has only continued to grow. We consider each other more than just cousins, but family, best friends, and sisters.

“She is too fond of books and it has turned her brain.”  – Louisa May Alcott

An apt description! I have spent a lifetime lost in the stories in books and those born of my own brain. I am an avid reader and hope to become a published writer. I am the mother of four children, who are just developing a love for the written word. Come share in my reading obsession! – Christie
 Fun Facts about Christie:
coming soon….

As a child, one could find me ‘reading’ books to the family dog long before I could actually read. Since then, I haven’t gone a day without my nose in a book. At the age of 25, I have read more books than I can count and that number only continues to grow. My passion for books has inspired me to become a writer, and I can only hope that the stories I write will inspire those who may read them much like the works of so many authors whom I have grown to love. – Heather
