She was off limits,
But he couldn't resist.

There are just some guys you don't touch--even someone as innocent and inexperienced as Ella Shaw knows that. But when her brother's best friend is up for grabs and willing, she can't resist. After all, she's wanted him for years...

On leave from the army, Tyler Dare is just looking for a little fun, but his best friend's sister is off limits. Yet unable to deny how sexy and alluring she is, he finds it all too easy to succumb to a night of passion and heat that ends the next morning in the worst way possible.

Now, Ella is stranded on a tropical island with a hurricane bearing down, and only Tyler can save her. It's his chance to make amends for the past and show the woman he's never forgotten that he's coming after her . . . in more ways than one.

I think it’s safe to say that I’ve fallen in love with the Dare to Love books and this is the only one that I’ve read…so far.
I love when I can pick up a book in the middle of a series, start reading it, and fall in love with the characters without feeling confused and as if I needed to read the previous books in order to understand what’s happening in the current book. I now know that I must go back and read the previous five books in this series. Not just to help me paint the whole picture of the Dare family, but because I really found a place with them while reading Tyler and Ella’s story.

Tyler Dare has a lot of demons in his closet and they’ve kept him from really being able to live his life like the rest of his family. When he’s asked by his sister, Avery, to go help her best friend (& the girl he has a past with), Ella, he does so, but not without reservation. Of course, the moment Tyler and Ella are back in the same room together, it’s hard not to ignore the chemistry these two have. Ella also has a few demons hidden in her own closet, so it is safe to say that her being “forced” into the protection of Tyler, not only helps her, but also helps him. These two compliment each other perfectly and it’s evident by the heat that comes off the page when you get these two alone in a room…or rooftop. 😉

If you’re looking for a read that is sure to help heat up your summer, this is one I’d highly recommend. In fact, I bet it’s safe to say, go ahead and start off with the first book in the series and work your way through them all. I know I’ll now be going back to the start of the series and catching up with all of the Dare siblings and how they find and fall in love.

5 stars

happy reading
