It's always the quiet ones...
Anya Anderson doesn't just need a big break, she needs any break. Living on the streets doesn't leave a girl many options, so when she scores a gig reporting on the Seconds to Juliet tour, she jumps at the chance to earn enough money to sleep somewhere safe. And the paycheck will get bigger - and keep her off the streets for good - if she can dig up dirt on Will Fray, the irritatingly hot "shy guy" of the band.
Problem is, Will Fray isn't who everyone thinks he is. In fact, he's not Will at all. Matt, Will's identical twin, is actually the guy onstage, reluctantly covering for his brother while he's in rehab. To make matters worse, Matt's being shadowed by a cute reporter with troubled eyes determined to get the scoop. On him. And he's having trouble finding the willpower to keep his distance...
But if the secret gets out, it won't just be his head on a platter - it'll be the whole band's.
This Entangled Teen Crush book contains steamy make out scenes, graphic language, and a love story so hot your copy may spontaneously burst into flames. You've been warned.

I just love this series! It’s so fun to revisit old characters & meet new ones. Every time I read a Backstage Pass book, I feel like I am part of the band and tagging along on this crazy fun journey with all of the guys.

In Anya and the Shy Guy, we think we are getting a glimpse into the life of boyband member, Will Fray, but what many people don’t know is that filling his spot while he’s dealing with problems of his own, is Will’s twin brother, Matt. I don’t know if it was this fun twist in the plot or the fact that even though we mostly got to know Matt in this book, I also felt like I was getting to know Will, through Matt. The Parent-Trap-esque switch was so fun and something I admire the author, Suze Winegardner, for tackling. She certainly made this particular book in the series her own, all while sticking to the same boyband flare all the other books have.

As for Anya, oh my heart! Her own story was enough to pull at my heartstrings and make me wish I could reach through the pages and help her. I admire her strength and determination so much. Sure, there were times where I felt like she was being a hypocrite and getting made at people for lying, especially when she wasn’t being entirely honest herself, but I understand that she needed to protect herself and try and feel as safe as she could. The moment that she met “Will” aka Matt, I could feel their chemistry radiating off the pages. They seemed to have such a good time just hanging out and talking, even though she was trying to dig up some dirt on him and the band. There were moments were I felt like she set aside her writing assignment because she truly wanted to just live in the moment and enjoy this time she has living on a tour bus. Of course, as time went on, I knew both Matt and Anya’s secrets would blow up in their face, it was just a matter of time. I was excited to see how these two would handle everything and overcome the minor roadblock on their way to happiness.

In a way, this is a modern day Cinderella story with Anya falling in love with her “prince”, Matt Fray. And not only am a big Cinderella story fan, but having it tied into a book involving a hot boy band? Count me in!

If you haven’t already given in and started reading the Backstage Pass series, you must! There’s only one book left!
