Top Ten Tuesday | 10 Books From Our Childhood (Or Teen Years) That We Would Love To Revisit

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by the
fabulous ladies over at The Broke and the Bookish.

We giggled like little school girls at the prospect of this post. Which is only fitting, as we reach back into our reading repertoire to those books from the years that we actually WERE school girls. As a teacher and a mother we have the distinct pleasure to recommend these gems on a regular basis to littles. But let’s face it, these are pretty awesome books for big people to read. So, transport yourself back in time via the written page and enjoy being a kid again. At least until the story ends.

OMG YES, the Secret Garden totally made my list this week too! I’ve actually reread it as an adult a few years ago but I’d love to do so again 🙂 And how could I forget Little Women?! I should REALLY reread that one because I hardly remember anything about it o.O I actually only read The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe as an adult, but I can see rereading them eventually too. Awesome picks here^^ Here’s my TTT post this week!

You guys are so classy and classic, lol. My list was pretty much paranormal romancey/my introduction to YA. I did have Pride and Prejudice, and the Phantom Tollbooth on their though. I was pretty into The Baby-Sitter’s Club, Baby-Sitter’s Little Sister, and Goosebumps as a kid as well, but I don’t feel like they hold as much value for me now, looking back, that I would want to experience them again.

I’m beginning to think I missed out by never reading Nancy Drew! I just never came across the books… But we share some of the others; I can’t believe I forgot Little Women!
