Welcome to Whistle Stop…where anything can and most likely will happen.

The notorious cowboy meets his match…

Cord Lawson instantly distrusted the young woman in a smart suit who’d just arrived in Whistle Stop. She was very pretty and clearly a city girl—but with memories of his failed marriage still darkening his mind, he’s determined to steer clear! But she’s sniffing around his land—land that has been in his family for generations. There was no way he’d let it go—even if the bank was threatening to foreclose, and even if selling could give Whistle Stop a new lease on life.

Alexis Greer had one mission—close the deal on the Lawson ranch; without it, her father’s land development company would go bankrupt. But the word around town is to keep clear of Cord and to stay away from his precious land. What had happened to cause such a handsome cowboy to live such a solitary existence? However, determination was Lexi’s middle name. She just had to keep on trying to breach Cord’s barriers, to appeal somehow to his head and heart—even if it put her in danger of losing both of hers…to him.

I received an ecopy from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Sometime you just need to pick up and read a good romance novel. I love knowing the happily ever after is bound to happen, but what I love even more is the trials that have to take place in order for that happy ending to take place.

A Moment to Love is my third…maybe fourth (oh my goodness, I’ve lost count!) Jennifer Faye book and I love how they make me feel. I tend to read romance novels in between my more heavier reading choices, and they always leaving me with butterflies fluttering inside. What sets this particular romance aside from the others I’ve read, would have to be the more unusual path this story takes.

The leading male is a stubborn, brooding cowboy determined to save his families legacy and land. But the more I read, the more I saw that underneath that rough exterior, there was a gentleness about him that would eventually peak through. And boy was I right.

Alexis, Lexi, is a business woman from NYC on a mission to save her father’s company. She’s come all the way to Whistle Stop to try and convince a land owner to sale his land so her company can build a upscale resort. What she doesn’t expect though is to fall for the small-town & the man she’s suppose to convince.

Her determination and his stubbornness is quite the mix & makes for a few bumps along the way. Cord and Lexi come head to head many times, but can these two work past their differences and finally let the feelings they are feeling towards one another show? Or will they let their stubbornness get the best of them?

A Moment to Love is a quick, romantic read that I enjoyed very much and I am eager to read what happens next in the Whistle Stop series by Jennifer Faye.

3.5 out of five stars

I don’t usually read romance, but this sounds very interesting. And I think it’s engaging enough for me to read and welcome me into the world of romance.
