Top Ten Tuesday | Ten Books We Almost Put Down But Didn’t

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme put together by the fabulous
ladies of The Broke and the Bookish.

Every now and then, we will come across a book that starts off slow, looses momentum in the middle, or just doesn’t feel right to us as readers, but we push through and find that we were either VERY glad we didn’t stop or just happy to have made it through.

Below are our top ten books that we ALMOST put down, but didn’t.

Dammmmm-pir, he’s fine. 😉

We’ve been runed for all other men.

There ain’t no “Shane” about it.

A book that takes place in a bookstore….

Love the five person POV.

Makes me want to locate my cowgirl boots.

Sometimes life is best seen, not heard.

With book boyfriends like this, we really would welcome an invasion
of the body snatchers.

The book that took me out of my comfort zone.

Sometimes love really is timeless.

What books did you ALMOST put down, but are glad you stuck with?

I actually put the book of The Host down after reading about 200 pages but about a year later picked up the audio book by the urging of someone who loved the book and said I had to finish it. It still wasn’t my favorite but I’m glad I finished it. Of course, the person who urged me to read is still bitter to this day that Stephenie Meyer hasn’t continued the series.
