Top Ten Tuesday | Authors We’ve Never Read

[Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by the fabulous ladies at
The Broke and the Bookish]

It’s Top Ten Tuesday, and this week Heather and I are digging deep into our TBR piles to talk about the Top Ten Popular Authors We’ve Never Read!

Christie & Heather’s Top Ten

1. Tahereh Mafi
Not only did we get to meet this beautiful woman in person at Y’allfest, she is at the top of our list of authors that we want to read!

2. Ransom Riggs
The other half of the most adorable awkward couple ever comes into the number two spot just behind his lovely bride.

3. Veronica Rossi
We love her on Twitter and are ready to take her in on the written page.

4. Orson Scott Card
Stephenie Meyer put this guy on our radar, and the recent release of the movie version of Ender’s Game has us scrambling to cross him off our list!

5. Stephanie Perkins
I, Christie, possess Anna and the French Kiss and have yet to read it. For shame, for shame. Heather can’t help but shake her head every time she is reminded that I have yet to read anything SP.

6. Melissa de la Cruz
– I had already put this wonderful author on Heather’s map after reading the Blue Bloods series, and we were both tempted by the snippets shown of the television series based off of her Witches of East End series.

7. David Levithan
We may or may not have stalked him a little at Y’allFest.

8. Katie McGarry
Read the blurbs of any one of her books and look at the covers and you will understand.

9. Maureen Johnson
Friend of John Green and writer of some highly coveted novels on our lists.

10. Lauren Oliver
Heather has insisted that I drink of the Delirium kool aid soon. I’m an all too willing victim.

Well, there you have it. The brillant authors on our reading chopping blocks.
Who are you interested in reading?

I’m reading Shatter Me right now and LOVING IT! Veronica Rossi I say you should give a go. I love the Under the Never Sky series. Orson Scott Card is on my TBR list. Stephanie Perkins is one I can pass on. Anna and the French Kiss just wasn’t as good to me as I thought everyone else made it out to be. Katie McGarry and Lauren Oliver are musts for me. David Levithan was on my list too, but I don’t think I’ll ever read him. And Maureen Johnson’s The Name of the Star was only okay for me. Great list! Hope you get to read some of these soon.

I share some of your authors, but some are just shameful! 😉 And I’m also in the same shame boat.

    Seriously though, drink the kool-aid.
