A few weeks ago, we had the privilege of taking part in the cover reveal of Kristin Miller’s Gone with the Wolf, along with several other titles under the Covet imprint. In case you missed it, here is a summary..
CEO and alpha werewolf Drake Wilder has given up the search for his one true love. When he discovers that she’s a secretary in his company, Drake’s primal instincts kick into overdrive.
What he wouldn’t give to have her fingers rake over his body instead of the keyboard…
Free-spirited bartender Emelia Hudson wants nothing more than to make her Seattle-based bar succeed. But when profits decline, she slips into a dress suit and secures a nine-to-five. After learning that her bar has become property of Wilder Financial, Emeliais determined to get some answers.
Two can play the ruthless business game. If only her attraction to the boss wasn’t so intense…
When Drake’s twin brother senses that Drake has found his match—and now inherits their father’s billiondollar estate—he hatches a plan to take Emelia out.Drake vows to protect her at all costs, but he might have to pay with his own life.
Emelia Hudson is definitely in the middle of a rough patch. Her fiancé left her at the alter, and the bar she has worked blood, sweat, and tears to purchase seems to be owned by a multi-million dollar corporation. Her plans to infiltrate the company as a temporary employee to get her bar back run into serious complications when she discovers that the devastatingly handsome CEO, Drake Wilder, is not the man she supposed him to be....in more ways than one. The Little Red Riding Hood costume that Emelia dons at the beginning of the story is more a metaphor than she could ever have imagined.
Gone with the Wolf is a fast paced adventure of love, betrayal, and danger in the guise of a modern day Grimms' fairy tale, that readers can easily enjoy.
Overall, I give it 3 out of 5 stars.
