BEA is happening in NYC this week! If you don’t know what BEA is, it is Book Expo America that takes place in New York City every year. It is jam packed with publishers and authors and a great place for bloggers, librarians, and book lovers all around to meet, get books signed, and talk books. Unfortunately, Christie and I were unable to attend this year, but next year….we have our fingers crossed to be in attendance!
This is mine and Christie’s first time participating in Armchair BEA and we are so excited! Today is DAY ONE and all about introductions, so here goes!
1. Please tell us a little bit about yourself: Who are you? How long have you been blogging? Why did you get into blogging?
Well, my name is Heather and I am 22 years young and a senior in college. I’ve been married for 2 years to my best friend/high school sweetheart. I started this blog back in January of this year and loving every minute of it! I have always wanted to start a blog, but just never had the guts to do so. Once 2013 kicked off, I finally decided to start one and share my love for books with anyone who cared to ‘listen.’
2. Where in the world are you blogging from? Tell a random fact or something special about your current location.
I am blogging from North Carolina where I was born and raised. The town I live in was actually started by my dads side of the family, way back when.
3. What are you currently reading, or what is your favorite book you have read so far in 2013?
Right now, I am currently reading Revenge of the Girl with the Great Personality by Elizabeth Eulberg. So far this year, I have read so many great books! If I had to pick just one, it would be The Elite by Kiera Cass.
4. If you could eat dinner with any author or character, who would it be and why?
If I could have dinner with any author, it would have to be Jane Austen. I adore her books and would consider it an honor to be in her presence. Now, any character? Oh gosh….there are so many! I would have to go with Will Herondale from The Infernal Devices. I am sarcastic, he is sarcastic, it would be a very sarcastic and entertaining dinner in my opinion.
5. What literary location would you most like to visit? Why?
The garden in The Mortal Instruments. Basically the Shadowhunter’s NYC. I love all things Shadowhunters, especially Jace. 🙂
